Why Stewart Film Screens?
Because the screen plays the pivotal role in your home cinema!
Consider: when thinking about a home theatre, the first question is
usually, "what is it that I really want?" A good picture?
Incredible sound reproduction? Or a place in the home that recreates
that real cinema feeling?
If the latter, it is only sensible to integrate a screen by Academy Film
Award winnner Stewart Filmscreens into your home theatre. Consider the
fact that just about every screening room in Hollywood has a Stewart
screen. Large film production centres use Stewart screens because they
need to be able to rely on the accuracy of the reproduced image. Film
produces take their artistic and technical decisions on a daily basis
while watching Stewart film screens. Small wonder taht Stewart is the
only screen manufacturer to receive not one but two Academy Awards.
Stewart Screens makes no distinction between screens for home cinema
applications and for professional use. The same craftmanship, the same
design, the same materials - what goes into your home cinema screen also
goes into screens for NASA, Disnay and IMAX, to name but a few. The
same hands that assemble your screen now may have just installed a
screen in a flight simulator for jet fighters, or a special effects
screen for LucasFilm.
The very best in materials
The best screen material should fit the conditions in your home
seamlessly. Every room, every home cinema has its distinctive
properties or limitations. Before selecting a screen a number of factors
have to be checked first: projector type, front or rear projection,
distance to screen, screen size, position and orientation of the
seating positions with regard to the screen, etc.
That is why Stewart offers materials with different optical properties
that take reflective and colorimetric properties of each home cinema
into account. At times like that it's a good thing that Stewart has been
in the customization businiss for almost 50 years. Stewart screens are
available in sizes up to 12 by over 25 meters (seamless), are washable,
fire retardent, and can have an acoustically permeable THX option.
The applied projection materials for your screen are being used by
professionals the world over. That means that the image that you see is
being reproduced with similar accuracy as the one viewed by a director
at a large film company. You can rest assured that the quality provided
by Stewert everywhere is also available to you.
