The floor-standing Onyx 200 and 300 models both feature our wide dispersion side firing bass drivers. Developed exclusively for this application, this new generation of low-profile driver have a near 360 degree radiation profile, allowing them to integrate seamlessly with the front firing speakers. Through careful positioning these side-firing units can be used to augment the in-room bass response. Positioning them firing closely towards side-walls can increase in-room bass response by around 6dB, whilst if positioned to fire inwards, they produce a more-dynamic, tauter performance.

The Onyx subwoofer is specifically designed to optimise the overall performance and provide an exceptional level of system and room integration. As well as a fully configurable crossover point, volume and phase, the rear firing driver effectively couples with a room boundary to produce an exceptionally clean and tight bass response, even when placed tight against a wall.

Without a bespoke centre channel within a range, dialogue can easily become lost within the mix. The Onyx centre channel speakers are specifically tuned to cover the entire human vocal range, with an acoustic crossover designed to maintain the purity and clarity of speech, even at relatively lower volumes.

Bipolar speakers for rear channels produce the most immersive surround sound experience. Whether positioned to the side or behind the listener, the drive units are easily aligned to combine the best "direct sound" and "reflected sound" simultaneously for a real sense of ambience and presence.
