Koetsier Audio Grand Cru Show in teken van QUAD

Op maandag 27 en dinsdag 28 Mei organiseert Hans Koetsier een presentatie, deze presentatie zal geheel in het teken staan van QUAD.Tijdens deze dagen bent u van harte welkom van 14.00 uur t/m 22.00 uur.

QUAD is niets minder dan een springlevende legende. Het Engelse merk werd in 1936 opgericht door Peter Walker. Het bedrijf richtte zich aanvankelijk uitsluitend op de ontwikkeling en productie van professionele audioapparatuur. Begin jaren vijftig veranderde dat, toen QUAD alle professionele ervaring ten goede liet komen aan de "gewone" luisteraar, door de QUAD 1 versterker op de markt te brengen. Daarna volgde de ene na de andere sensatie, zoals de eerste elektrostatische luidspreker in 1956, de QUAD 33 controleeenheid en de QUAD 303 eindversterker (1967). En de inventiviteit blijft maar doorgaan: Current Dumping (1975), Tilt regeling (1981), QUADLINK (1995) en last but not least de vernieuwde elektrostaten (2007).

Tijdens deze show kunt u verschillende QUAD sets beluisteren zoals de Elite, Classic, L-series en ESL series. Daarnaast is er als klap op de vuurpijl een Meerkanaals QUAD ESL opstelling klaar voor demo en zal er op maandagmiddag een delegatie van QUAD China aanwezig zijn.

Naast de diverse QUAD apparatuur bestaat ook de mogelijkheid sets van McIntosh, Audiolab en Wharfedale te beluisteren.

QUAD show @ Snijders HiFi

Vrijdag 12 en zaterdag 13 april 2013 organiseert Snijders HiFi in samenwerking met New TransTec een doorlopende QUAD en Audiolab show. Gedurende deze dagen willen wij u laten kennismaken met de QUAD Platinum serie en dat in combinatie met de QUAD ESL-2912 elektrostatische luidsprekers. Eind vorig jaar hebben beide apparaten al even bij Snijders HiFi in de winkel gestaan voor een introductie die behoorlijk geslaagd was. En dat willen wij daarom nog eens overdoen.

Ook het zustermerk van QUAD, Audiolab zal daarbij in het zonnetje gezet worden. Dit zal gebeuren in combinatie met de luidsprekers van, weer een zustermerk van QUAD, Wharfedale! Zoals gebruikelijk demonstreren wij met digitale bestanden in hoge resolutie maar mag u uiteraard ook uw eigen cd’s meenemen.

De Nationale A/V dagen 2013

Op zaterdag 6 en zondag 7 april organiseert Audiovideo2day, in samenwerking met mediapartners, een audiovisuele beurs. Dit alles vindt plaats in het Koningshof in Veldhoven.

Deze beurs die alle AV fronten samenbrengt op gebied van Audio, Video, Multimedia en IT vindt nu voor de eerste keer plaats hier in Nederland en men heeft toegezegd groots uit te pakken. Natuurlijk kennen we AudioVideo2Day ook van de wel bekende show in Brussels die afgelopen jaar in Dolce La Hulpe georganiseerd werd. Dat was toen reeds de 4e editie van deze show.

Ook New TransTec is aanwezig ter ondersteuning van de Focal importeur (SMART AUDIO) en de winkel iEar. Zij zullen u de Focal Stella Utopia III tonen op de McIntosh MC601, C500C, C500T en de MCD1100.

CES 2013 Recap, New McIntosh products!

This year's CES Show was once again a success. We introduced a McIntosh record seven new products at the show, including our new D100 Digital Preamplifier, C2500 Tube Preamplifier, a family of three new Integrated Amplifiers (MA5200, MA6700 and MA7900), our first Stereo Receiver (MAC6700) in a generation, and the MT5 Precision Turntable. The soon to be released MT5 won a What Hi Fi? Stars of CES 2013 Award. They called it "possibly the most beautiful product in the whole of the Venetian [Hotel] this year." McIntosh MCD1100 UPGRADE!!!

McIntosh lanceert de McAIRE!

McIntosh stort zich naast de huidige MX121 nu ook met de McAIRE in de AirPlay markt. De McAire heeft niet alleen de haast legendarische look and feel van McIntosh, maar geeft je de mogelijkheid om muziek wireless te streamen met prachtig geluid.

Aangesloten op een lokaal Wi-Fi netwerk, speelt de McAire muziek uit de iTunes bibliotheek vanaf Mac, PC, iPad, iPod touch en iPhone af. Oudere Apple devices als iPod classic en iPod nano kunnen met een USB-kabel worden aangesloten op het apparaat, dat verder ook over een RJ45 aansluiting en een AUX input beschikt.

Volgens McIntosh zorgt de compacte McAire ervoor dat je je muziek opnieuw leert herbeleven. En net als de andere apparaten van McIntosh, heeft ook de McAire de welbekende blauwe analoge meters, zwart glazen frontpaneel en chrome knoppen. De twee woofers van 4 inch, twee midrange speakers van 2 inch en een tweetal tweeters van ¾ inch zorgen voor een ruimtelijke geluid, waarmee de McAire geschikt is voor iedere ruimte in huis.

QUAD show @ Snijders HiFi

Snijders HiFi organiseert een QUAD show op zaterdag 10 november. Op deze dag kunt u kennis maken met een groot deel van het QUAD assortiment. Als luisterset is voor de geheel nieuwe QUAD Platinum series gekozen i.c.m. de nieuwe QUAD ESL-2912 elektrostaten. Beide producten zijn nieuw binnen het QUAD assortiment. Daarnaast is ook de QUAD Elite serie opgesteld en zijn ook de QUAD L-classic speakers aanwezig.

Tijdens de doorlopende demonstraties zullen zij de Quad Platinum demonstreren met de ESL-2912, de ESL-2812 zullen zij demonstreren op de Quad Elite Serie.

Omdat de Quad Platinum DMP voorzien is van een USB aansluiting gaan wij u muziek laten horen in hoge resolutie, beter dan de ingebouwde cd-speler en kunt u, misschien voor de eerste keer, muziek via de computer horen in extreem hoge kwaliteit.

Home Cinema Happening

CineDream organiseert voor de tweede maal, in samenwerking met Universal Pictures en Prima, het Homecinema event van het jaar. In het bioscoopcomplex van Utopolis te Mechelen zullen alle teopmerken, nodig om een onvervalste filmbeleving bij u thuis te creeeren, aanwezig zijn.

QUAD show

McIntosh is pleased to announce the availability of the USB audio upgrade for C48 and C50 preamplifiers. The upgrades will allow USB Audio Class 2 operation at USB Level 2 High Speed, 480 MHz operation. This is a true asynchronous mode that is capable of passing ALL audio data rates from 16 bit 44.1Khz CD Quality through 32 bit 192 kHz High Resolution music.

After these updates, Apple Computers are required to use OS X 10.6.4 or higher with USB 2.0 audio for High Resolution playback through the McIntosh C48/C50, USB Audio Digital engine. Windows playback computers are required to use XP-SP3 or higher AND have the McIntosh USB 2.0 Audio Driver installed on the music host computer.

The McIntosh USB 2.0, Windows Audio Driver is designed to work with McIntosh USB Audio equipped models such as C48 and C50. It will not recognize other audio brand’s USB audio inputs. This is a true ASIO Asynchronous driver which when combined with the appropriate PC music program and a properly configured computer allows bit perfect High Resolution audio playback.

De Doelen Lente Hifishow 2011 (16 en 17 april)

In het weekend van 16 en 17 april 2011 vindt de Rotterdamse Doelen Lente Hifi-show plaats. Hier is van alles te beleven op het gebied van hifi en homecinema, cd, dvd, blu-ray, vinyl en streaming.

Ook kunnen bezoekers lezingen bijwonen, luisteren naar live-concerten in de Willem Burgerzaal en zich laten verassen op het grote Europese trombonefestival. Vanaf de Doelen Lente hifi-show heeft men vrije toegang tot het trombonefestival. De openingstijden zijn beide dagen van 9.30 tot 18.00. De toegang tot de Doelen Lente Hifi-show is 12,50 euro twee dagen geldig incl. reductiebon op de Doelen lente hifi-show 2011 DVD/CD.

Op de DVD/CD is materiaal van Urbie Green te vinden. Deze levende legende heeft geschiedenis geschreven met zijn dubbelalbum 21 Trombones uit 1967. Dit is hèt album dat iedere trombonist in zijn kast heeft staan. Wat voor effect heeft het album op hedendaagse muzikanten? Hoe zou het album klinken als het nu zou zijn opgenomen? Alles komt samen in eeen unieke avondvullende concert in het Rotterdamse Off-Corso. Van deze avond worden opnames gemaakt, die zullen dienen voor de Doelen lente hifi-show 2011 DVD/CD. Voor de opname zal Paul Power (de man achter alle Doelen lente hifi-show cd’s) garant staan.

New TransTec zal aanwezig zijn in de Mees zaal (4e verdieping). Wij zullen daar demonstraties verzorgen van McIntosh, QUAD, Audiolab en Wharfedale hifi apparatuur. Hierbij zullen onder andere de Nieuwe McIntosh MC601 monoblokken hun debuut maken en de MCD1100. Voor QUAD zal de Elite serie speelklaar zijn opgesteld en dat zelfde geldt voor de Audiolab 8200 series i.c.m. Wharfedale Diamond10 luidsprekers. Ook zullen wij op gebied van beeld een topcombinatie van een SIM2 C3X Lumis i.c.m. een Stewart scherm demonstreren. Wij hopen u op een van deze dagen te kunnen verwelkomen.

Met de SIM2 MICO60 LED-projector ervaar je het ultieme thuisbioscoopgevoel.

Het internetmagazine Audiovideo2day organiseert op zaterdag 2 en zondag 3 april zijn eerste AudioVideo2day Belgium Show in het Congrescentrum Ter Elst te Edegem. Na zeven edities van de Beeld en Geluid show werd er de afgelopen maanden druk gesleuteld aan de formule van de show en wordt er vanaf dit jaar ook, naast audio, aandacht besteed aan de nieuwste trends op het gebied van multimedia en home cinema.

De nieuwe formule komt tegemoet aan de vele vragen die AudioVideo2day de afgelopen jaren kreeg van bezoekers en standhouders om het gamma uit te breiden. De Elite van Quad komt naar Stania State (15 en 16 december)

Op woensdag 15 en donderdag 16 december organiseert hifistudio It Harkstee in samenwerking met importeur New Transtec een kennismakingsessie met de nieuwe audioapparatuur van Quad. In twee sfeervolle zalen zal de Eliteserie met o.a. de ESL 2805 spelen, deze combinatie laat u op het hoogste niveau genieten van muziek.

De Elite serie werd onlangs getest in de HVT en de commentaren waren zeer lovend, deze set kreeg zelfs het predikaat “Aanbevolen”. Net zoals een lovende recensie in de Vi-Fi door Dick van de Merwe. Ook zal de Elite in combinatie met de Quad 22L2 speaker worden gedemonstreerd, een zeer mooie en betaalbare topset.

Speciaalzaak Klankbeeld hifi in Wageningen organiseert van zaterdag 30 oktober tot en met zaterdag 13 november de Luisterdagen, met indrukwekkende producten én exclusieve primeurs. De speciale McIntosh MC452 eindversterker is het resultaat van meer dan 60 jaar McIntosh engineering, met behulp van de modernste technologieën en componenten. Met minstens 450 Watt per kanaal, beschikbaar bij een 2, 4 of 8 Ohms belasting, stelt deze ‘überversterker’ elke luidspreker in staat om de muzikale dynamiek levensecht weer te geven. NIEUW: McIntosh MC452

Van in- tot uitgang gebalanceerd maakt de MC452 gebruik van McIntosh’ eigen autoformers en produceert daarmee ruim 450 Watt vermorgen per kanaal. Waarbij het de MC452 niets uitmaakt of de luidsprekers nu een 2, een 4 of een 8 Ohms belasting vormen - hij levert altijd minstens 450 Watt per kanaal continu. En hij kan kortdurend altijd veel meer leveren.
Per kanaal werken twee gebalanceerd gepaarde versterkers in push-pull modus, waarbij hun uitgangen in de autoformer worden samengevoegd. Elke versterkerhelft is op zijn beurt voorzien van bijbehorende balanceer-circuits, zodat de versterker van in- tot uitgang geheel gebalanceerd is opgezet. Het resultaat is een configuratie die vrijwel alle vervorming elimineert en tevens de interne energie-huishouding van de versterker onafhankelijk maakt van de ermee verbonden luidsprekers. Alleen de exclusief door McIntosh ontwikkelde autoformers maken zo’n slimme opzet mogelijk!

Vele 8 Ohm luidsprekers vertonen bij verscheidene frequenties een ingangsimpedantie-dip tot wel 2 of zelfs 1 Ohm, wat vele versterkers in moeilijkheden brengt. De MC452 levert echter voldoende stroom (tot meer dan 75 Ampere) om ze aan te drijven, en kan daarbij kortdurend een vermogen leveren van 1800 Watt. De MC452 maakt daartoe gebruik van ThermalTrakTM power transistors, waarbij de eigen PowerGuard technologie helpt om clipping te voorkomen en daarnaast een uitgebreide thermische monitoring zorgt voor beveiliging van zowel versterker als luidsprekers.

De meters van de MC452 zijn van een aparte klasse: ze meten niet zozeer het aantal afgegeven Volts, maar het aantal Watts, en nemen dus de luidsprekerbelasting mee in de rekensom. Bovendien zijn ze erg snel: slechts 1 puls van 2kHz volstaat om de meter al tot 95% te doen uitslaan. Die meters zijn het toefje room op een wel zeer capabele eindversterker!
De ruim 50 kg zware MC452 is een ideale compagnon voor de eveneens nieuwe McIntosh C50 voorversterker – beide zijn immers van in- tot uitgang gebalanceerd uitgevoerd!

QUAD show at Snijders Hifi in Rotterdam (10 april)

In 2010 is it 40 years ago that John Snijders sold his first QUAD 33/303 combination. There would follow many years after that, under a motto "The closest approach to the original sound". To celebrate this, Snijders Hifi organizes on Saturday the 10th of April a special QUAD-day, with demonstrations of QUAD equipment now-a-days, an exposure of historical QUAD and everything about QUAD. Of course the music wil dominate!

Come to Snijders Hifi and take advantage of this view on the wonderful world of electrostatic loudspeakers, tilt-mode and power-stabalizers at the end.

Eastern show McIntosh-Tannoy Prestige (2, 3 and 5 april)

Amazing, what a musicallity!, has the time stood still? These and several other remarks we heard the past weeks by the listenning to of this legendary classics. In 1947 McIntosh designed the "Unity Coupled Circuit". In 1950 Tannoy designed the "Dual Concentric" speaker.
